Dr. D’s “Popeye’s Punch” Juice Recipe !
Oranges and spinach together, pack a powerful nutritional punch. The bioflavonoids that oranges pith and segment walls contain work to strengthen the walls of tiny blood capillaries within the body, which means that they may prevent the development of slightly broken veins on the surface of the skin. Spinach is a good source of vitamin A, some iron, and more protein than many other vegetables contained. Apples are rich in pectin, which is a soluble, dietary fiber, that helps to aid in digestion. cucumbers are an effective diuretic, which makes an excellent detox ingredient.
Ingredients:
1 peeled and chopped orange 🍊
1 small, unpeeled , chopped 🍎
1/2 unpeeled , cucumber , choppe
2 cups spinach
1 small knob peeled ginger 🫚
2 cups of water 💧
Directions:
Blend all ingredients using water until very smooth.
Strain the juice using a strainer or a cheesecloth.
pour one serving (8oz. ) over ice to enjoy now
store other serving in glass jar with lid in the fridge for up to 2 days .
Nutritional value:
Vitamins, a, B2, B3, B6, C, and E, folic acid, folate, magnesium, potassium, pectin, bioflavonoids, protein, calcium, iron, and zinc.
