Hi Linna! I always like it to see you enjoy stroopwafels 😊 I thought you might be interested in learning the difference between caramel and stroop 😊
Sugar stroop is made by cutting and cooking sugar beets. You are then left with sugar water. This will be cooked until it has a thick consistency, with sugar crystals in it. It will then be centrifuged, and the sugar is separated from the stroop.
Caramel is, as you know, basically molten sugar. So basically, stroop is not caramel, because it’s not molten sugar 😊

I have such a recipe book that I make for my daughter. When is moves out of the house, still many years from now, I can give that to her with all her favourite recipes in it. The oban de gohan book looks interesting. I will see if they have it on amazon

I would buy the 100 recipe book in every color and use it for keeping track of recipes from magazines that I tried and liked also from packaging this way after I try as many recipe from each sorce I don't have to keep them or try to remember which one had it😅
