  • Growing up we used beef bouillon as the liquid in our green beans. Talk about yummy. 😊😊

  • 44:15 😂 Mel your so funny. I just loved this video. I’m excited to try the lasagna with cottage cheese.

  • I enjoyed all of your classic recipes 😋 ❤😊

  • What a fun video!

  • Love the classics! You just can’t beat them. Thanks for sharing Mel😊❤

  • Great video! I enjoyed all of your recipes! I have not had meatloaf in a long time, the recipe you make looks delicious!
    The bedding looks beautiful! 😊

  • My son is not a huge fan of some of the you tube recipes I've made but your chicken tacos…hit it out of the park when I tried them last week! We're doing it this week by his request which has never happened before😂 Thanks momma Mel!

  • I make 5# at a time and then freeze! It’s nice to have it ready to roll.

  • Great video😊❤

  • Your channel has been such a blessing! I have new favorites in my family’s rotation thanks to your content – so thank you! Of course we all need some down time and those good “down home favorites”. There are things I cook the way my mom cooked it for me simply because I love those memories. But I have enjoyed adding some new recipes to our rotation as well. Thanks for all you do! God bless!❤❤

  • Tomato ketchup never knew..

  • Thank you !! Lasagna looks really delicious. Mattie must have good taste buds. 😊

  • Had too much fun watching this & yes the old favorites are always the best!

  • Great video. Do you think the Campbell’s soap makes a better casserole?

  • Watching you flip onion all over just showed how real you are! You could of cut it out, but you left it in and laughed about it! One of the reasons I love to watch you and I am glad I found your channel! 😊

  • Lasagna looks delicious!

  • You’re lucky you have shopping options. All we have is Walmart. We do have a Family Food Market but their prices are outrageous. It’s bad enough at Walmart.

  • Such a good video…everything looked delicious ❤❤❤

  • I live,in southeast Texas and it never snows here, but we are under a winter storm warning and we may get 3 to5 inches of snow from Monday night through Tuesday afternoon….weather is going crazy….

  • Karta cakes are a British sweet treat.

  • OMGOSH Mel!! Everything you made in this video look’s SOOO Good ❤❤ Thank you for sharing your wonderful, homemade, like we all grew up eating. I loved this 💕🙏🙏

  • Have you ever had chicken gumbo sloppy joes? You have to try it if not!!!

  • Chicken casserole is my family’s favorite as well. I mix the canned chicken with the soup and sour cream then crush a sleeve of ritz to spread on top. Lastly I pour a stick of melted butter over the crackers. Soooo good!!
    I want to try yours

  • Great video and great recipes as always. I think im making meatloaf tomorrow. I havent made it in months. Not been cooking much since we lost our son. Love ya sweet friend!

  • The two noodles left can still be used. You can cook them and take two ramikins and put them accordion style putting in the normal fillings for lasagna and it turns out perfect.

  • There is nothing more comforting then mash potatoes and meatloaf AND green beans. And u cooked it all like I do. Except like u said about having our own one meatloaf recipe that u always crave and go back to. Mine has a variant with mild salsa. It has all ur extra veggies and my kids were always those picky eaters that hated cut veggies in their food.

  • Nice sharing

  • So happy to see you! Glad you are back and I pay everyone is thriving in the new year! Loved this video! ALDIs is a great place to shop! Love there produce and the different things they have. Take care! God bless! ♥️♥️

  • I LOVED this video! Was just at Aldi this morning and decided I was going to make sloppy Joes this week since I haven't made them in forever and was craving. And tonight, I come here and see you making them! Woohoo!

  • I think that sloppy joe would be delicious on spaghetti noodles .

  • These are the best sloppy joes ever.. i love it more than canned manwich..

  • I would love to have the recipe for the chicken casserole, I couldn’t find it ! Thank you! Love your Channel!

  • Hi Patrick

  • Your video tonight reminded me of my daddy. When my parents were first married, he asked my mom, “Does your mom put sugar in EVERYTHING she cooks?” Lol! My grandmother told me that my grandfather liked sugar or light Karo syrup in all his food.

  • cool

  • I wish there was a "love" button to push for your videos!!💛🙏☕️

  • I enjoy watching everything looked so good.

  • Just found you last Mo. enjoy your good home cooking!! Mel, can you please tell me about the tan pan with two handles you use? Where I might buy one? Thank You!!

  • I make the same meat loaf too. I call it Retta’s meatloaf. We love the sweet sauce on top too.

  • a saw a trik about the tomato paste.. Once you put it into a ziplock, flatten it out and then score (not cutting) lines onto the plastic to make squares of the paste then freeze. When you need some tomato paste then you "snap off" a section of the frozen paste to use.

  • Glad to see ya momma Mel! Hope you're staying warm if you're having the cold and snow were having now..
