  • Thanks!! I know my way around making udon and ramen with fish and other meats, buuut my gf is vegan and ive found my goto food to make for her has been homemade pizza. So it was nice to see what kinds of things I can use to substitute for the meats flavorwise. Although she is allergic to mushrooms and prefers me to not use any msg in her meals so developing umami is a bit of a puzzle (not a chore, I really enjoy using my knowledge to work around the constraints so its fun)

  • Hello, where I live, we do not have sea weed. What does it taste like so I can use a nice substitute. Well I live in the hills of northern India where we can see the Himalayas daily and habaneros are easily grown in our region. Idk if it will give you an idea :') and I am vegetarian.
    We can easily find the square shaped tamarind packets and Tibetan, Bhutanese ingredients too.

  • I love these videos but are there any recipes where it doesn’t need miso or anything that I would have to go to an Asian superstore to do? like without sesame oil or dried seaweed or miso etc?
