This Orange Pound Cake is so delicious, fluffy, moist, and vegan. You need only a few ingredients and 5 minutes to prepare it.

Ingredients:
220 g flour
120 g sugar
1 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp baking soda
240 ml orange juice
50 ml vegetable oil
1 tsp vanilla essence
1 tbsp orange zest
1 tbsp almond flakes

Directions:
1. Mix all the dry ingredients. Add the juice, oil, vanilla, orange zest, and mix just to combine.
2. Pour the batter into a mold and sprinkle some almond flakes.
3. Bake at 180C for about 40 minutes or until golden brown.
4. Bon Appetit!

  • Tried it.
    1. Cut the baking soda in half, you're just raising dough, not the dead.
    2. Use freshly squeezed orange juice, because the juice from a carton is 15g of sugar per 250 ml of juice. Feel free to cut the sugar in the recipe as well.
    3. Use 2 cups of flour, not 1.5 if you want your cake to keep it together

    Really give this recipe a try. Goes great with coffee and impresses your workmates and your date. Speaking from experience

  • Hi I made the cake, the flavor is delicious but the texture is not, I used Sorghum so it fell apart (not spongey). Is there a way to glue it together? Then it will be the 10 out of 10 cake for me. Thank you!

  • Orange juice… From where we can get…? Like a tetra pack? Home made ..? Or any other source…? Which will give Better results..? If home made ..do we need to add sugar in that juice before using in cake ?
