Eve Kilcher’s FIRE CIDER || Alaska Last Frontier

Eve Kilcher, known from Discovery Channel’s “Alaska: The Last Frontier,” shares her method for making fire cider—a traditional herbal tonic reputed to boost immunity and aid digestion. In the video, she guides viewers through the preparation process, emphasizing the use of fresh, homegrown ingredients. Eve’s approach reflects her commitment to sustainable living and natural remedies, aligning with the homesteading lifestyle she and her family practice in Homer, Alaska.

Fire cider is a spicy, tangy infusion made by steeping ingredients like garlic, ginger, horseradish, onions, and hot peppers in apple cider vinegar. After a few weeks of infusion, the mixture is strained, and honey is added to balance the flavors. This concoction is traditionally used to support the immune system, especially during cold and flu season.

I looked up some recipes for this and it’s basically foolproof and looks to be fun to make.
Instead of using a glass container I have crock or maybe the local thrift store will have some big enough glass containers.
Can I ask, what was the green leafy ingredient or did you post a list of ingredients, if so where can I find that?
Thank you for the idea 😊
