  • This is now my favourite soup! I have started adding some pork to some portions that has been cut up into small pieces and fried. It only takes a couple of minutes and can be added to the soup when you're warming it up in the pan or microwave. I'll probably use bacon when the pork has run out.

  • Can this really still be called a soup though?
Because it's more of a puree now.

  • Isn’t this Vichyssoise? Can it be served cold?

  • I made it… it was delicious! Thank you so much❤

  • Insanely good! Thank you❤

  • What to do with the green part of the leeks? I wouldn’t know lol

  • Why does it trigger me when the potato is said first

  • As a bowl myself, I can confirm this soup is delicious.

  • I really appreciate having a comprehensive breakdown of how to clean and prepare ingredients like the leek and potatoes. You show the process of getting stuff into the bowl! You don’t just assume we have the thing in the bowl! I can’t tell you how much stress that detracts from the process. Thank you for this video!

  • Great video and recipe however I wouldn't use russet potatoes. Their texture isn't as forgiving as the majority of other potatoes.

  • Just made it. Tastes awesome. Thank you!!!

  • You need to wash the Potatoes also.

  • My white soup bowl says "bowl of comfort" on the side ❤

  • so white 😭

  • I put ham it it. So it's better.

  • So , nice this is the basic that I needed, might add some responsibly raised bacon. Instant Subscription. 💥🤙

  • Im just winging it here i will let you know how it goes i only had 1 leek

  • I got my russet potatoes, and ingredients. Making this right now, putting a good portion of it away for the next month. I love the way you prep it. Thank you so much🙏

  • Thanks for this potato- leek recipe l am a lover of every conceivable kind of soup, so keep ‘em coming please!😊

  • If you don't have an immersion blender you can … buy one, or add it to your birthday/Christmas etc. list!

Joking aside, if you are serious about homemade soups, I would almost consider one an essential item of kitchen equipment, so much easier than a liquidiser.

I moved back in with my parents while my home was being renovated, and lent my blender to my father who always made the soup, but did it in batches in the liquidiser.

Long story short, I bought another stick blender!

  • Can the salt be non kosher?😂

  • So tasty and simple. I almost could have guessed the steps. Thanks so much it came out great.

  • Lots of yes. Very delicious and filling.
Adding croutons and parmesan for the kids.

  • I was talking about favourite foods yesterday and mentioned this soup. Then it pops up in my YouTube recommendations

  • Thanks, will try it out tomorrow

  • Very good

  • That looks Delis.

  • This is an excellent version of soup I set aside about ten pieces of potato and blend the rest I prefer just a little potato left , it’s one of my favourite soups with a little crusty bread

  • note if you blend it in a blender do not put lid on. it will explode everywhere bc the heat is rising.

  • Hello 👋 I have used this recipe now 3x it's easy and very nice thank u 😊

  • Very well presented

  • I never realised this soup was so simple. Made some for today’s lunch and I can confirm it was absolutely delicious. It’s definitely gone in my recipe book and will be making it again and again. Thankyou🇬🇧

  • Thanks for a great video.
Nothing worse than a recipe not printed on YouTube though. I’m here for that. Not going to a website.
    Great channel

  • U don’t sauté the leeks to soften it bring out flavour at all before piling on the broth and cooking? Sounds incorrect

  • This is in my “BestFoods” playlist and I have made it many times. I had never cooked with leeks until I made this recipe! Cooked a batch today and it was as delicious and satisfying as ever.

  • I put diced leftover sausage in this. It's a winner. Keep up the good work.

  • Looks delicious!
Do u have a Beer Cheese soup recipe and viedio ?

  • Brilliant! Thank you!

  • Looks good will be making this👍🥰

  • Great recipe and method. I like mine a bit runny so I can add double cream, stir in and then you have cream of leek and potato soup. Crusty bread with butter…..mmmmmmmmm goes down a treat on a cold day.
