As I have no functional kitchen and no family or friends in this town – I have developed my own 'Christmas' tradition. I don't eat at all on Christmas day – in 'honour' of all the feasting families in the City around me. I go to the beach, alone, and sit staring out across the Strait of Juan de Fuca at the cold and snow capped peaks of the distant Olympic mountains. Then, with THAT over with for another year, I go back to my 'life'.

If you don’t like background noises, my home would drive you crazy. I am on oxygen, a non-invasive ventilator, and we have an air purifier that runs continuously. We live in a very dry climate with a lot of wind and dirt. I love to can and the pressure canner makes a lot of noise too. Love the color of your office. We have a Costco about two hours away from us.
I love love love all of your treasures!! Years ago I bought something similar to your ski mountain, and last year I passed it on tour our son and his family. His youngest at 8 is still mesmerized! I love things like that!

Just did a relatively small Costco run compared to yours (I’m in the Ottawa area),, and did see the same Christmas decor you purchased, where I was today. They are beautiful, I must say, and I’m sure your grandson and other family will enjoy the sparkles and sounds of those items. Great video, as always!

When I was younger, my dad built a huge Christmas village every year around the Christmas tree.
It was so much fun to see all the moving parts and imagine the lives of the little people. I could watch it for hours!

The Holmes gloves are great if working around dampness but i found they didn't keep your fingers warm. Check your box to make sure you have matching pairs. I ended up with three rh and five lh. Unfortunately i wear out the right hand faster than the left
I find grated mozzarella clumps together- anything special you do to avoid that?

I just died over the price of Ziploc bags. I compared all those home goods and nice quality clothing prices to that for the rest of the video. Paper goods are ridiculously priced in the US too, but I havn't bought bags for a while. I am running to my Costco tomorrow to see if we have some of the same men's clothing – you have influenced me! Butter always goes up this time of year because the demand for baking increases. I live in Lethbridge Alberta and buy extra butter in October, but I paid over 9$ per pound for Lactania, a european style butter, but it does make a difference in baking.
