No Dig Garden Bed TRANSFORMATION – Clearing to Replant FAST
This video shows how super FAST & EASY it is to transform a No dig bed from being full with last seasons plants and weeds, to it being fully refreshed with compost and replanted with new season crops, with minimal labour and time – No dig really is gardening made EASY 💚
We are Dan & Laurie and our land is called Freedom Forest – Its 3 acres in the South of England where we are creating an edible oasis and trying to provide as much for ourselves, from our land as possible, where we are completely off grid.
Our food growing journey began together in 2017 when we created our first No dig lasagne bed. Every year we grow more and more and now we are currently around 60-80% self sufficient in ALL of our food needs.
Our style and methods are inspired by permaculture and we try to be thoughtful about how and what we do, to be as gentle on the planet as possible.

Beans produce nitrogen on there roots, but I believe once they flower they start to feed off the nitrogen they have grown. I believe you need to cut them down at soil level before going to flower to get the benefit from the nitrogen

Topped up one of my beds the other day, like yours, it looked great. A couple of days later though, something had walked all over it and had a dig around, thankfully whatever it was didn't leave a deposit!
