  • Wow Annie loved that falafel salad that was a surprise. Also I'm thinking for the gnocchi your correct on the weight and also waiting to allow steam to expel from the potato. Also did the recipe for the lemon bars ask to cool the lemon filling part first I was thinking it was really hot and liquid and maybe that's why things went haywire. As always great inspiring quality content love you guys. And appreciate everything you do it's always unique andI interesting

  • How long was the base of lemon bars cooled before you put the lemon mixture over it? Might that have been the reason why it separated?

  • Did the no oil mayo recipe ever get sent for the community?

  • All these vegan cookbooks complicate the simplicity of the wfpb lifestyle. If your trying to make your food hyper-palatable, it's because you're still caught in the pleasure trap. Go a week eating only whole food in it's natural form, cooked or otherwise, without any seasoning – the way your ancestors would have. Your body and taste buds will thank you. If you're still seeking flavor-utopia with every bite, you're at risk of failing, and eating will continue to be the highlight of your day instead of the mere physiological necessity it should be. The recipes are only useful for people making a slow transition. The goal is to be free of the domination eating has had over people. Boil a potato. Pop it in your mouth. Take a walk. Enjoy the more important aspects of living.

  • These videos are like a treat for me! ❤ them!!!

  • Now I want to know which burger Annie was referring to that she liked from before?! Love these review videos, and the honest and thoughtful cookbook content review is so helpful!!

  • BTW you need to measure up 1/2 C aqua faba BEFORE you whip it

  • I checked out the link to the cookbook and it does advertise it as being 100 percent gluten free recipes. I’m surprised it’s not stated on the cover or inside.

  • Always loved this channel. The family has a great fun chemistry. Today’s video, however has very funny pronunciation of gnocchi. 😂

  • Jerusalem artichokes 😊 roasted with a little bit of olive oil, salt, pepper and thyme. I try to avoid oil as well but a little bit with this works really well

  • 10/10 Annie for your bun😂. I definitely will try the Macaroons. Mmm i love Turtles.😂 I also would try the pickled onions, the burger, and the gnocchi. Thanks for the shoutout. I have to say since I found your channel, and I have been eating real food, not processed. I feel so much better. The funny thing is, it is a ripple affect on people around you. My boyfriend eats more fruit and veg. My older brother, I went grocery shopping with today, and he actually said. I want to eat better. He bought carrots, celery, bananas, blueberries, strawberries, ceaser salad, etc. Etc. Before he was eating so many frozen meals. Now he just shops differently. I am so glad I found your families channel. Thank you. I told them both, I just want to feel better and be healthy. You don't have to do a 180 in your diet, just a start to change. The more you eat healthy, the more you won't eat like you used to anymore.

  • So… macaroon vs macaron – they are different desserts. Truthfully I can never remember which is which, and one day I will look it up and make up a trick for it, but I'm about to go to sleep so today is not that day. Hi from Grantham, BC!

  • Macaroons and macarons are 2 different things. You made macaroons, which are pronounced oo, as in boo. Macarons are little meringue cookie sandwiches, usually colored with food coloring, and put together with a filling.

  • Another fantastic cookbook review video Jeremy and family. Annie is quite funny and fussy with her opinions on the recipes. My favourite vegetable is kale even though with the stem you have to remove that because it's difficult to eat them. Love 🥰 the video and love ❤ Jeremy & family (including his YouTube family).

  • I had to have a laugh as when you pronounced gnocchi, it sounded very much how Australians say Nooky for sex which originated from the Dutch word Neuken for sex. Thanks Jeremy for the cheeky school girl giggle at the ripe age of 57.

  • Macaron – beautiful, delicate, colorful French sandwich cookie made with almond flour. Macaroon – lumpy drop cookie made with coconut.
Alas, coconut yogurt does not taste or feel like dairy yogurt so when trying to replicate traditional recipes does not always hit the mark. We wait for someone to invent something closer!!

  • The freakout over the turmeric SENT me! I love that reaction! 🤣🤣 (And I can sorta relate TBH)

  • Hello from Michigan 🎉🎉❤ Annie cracks me up. You guys are a great wholesome family. I love it!

  • I'm not a fan of coconut, so I'd definitely make substitutions. I will see if I can borrow this from the library (or look thru it at Barnes & Noble) 😉 Laura from Central PA. I discovered this year that while I hate cooked brussel sprouts, I do enjoy them raw in a salad.

  • Yay my hard copy of your cookbook arrived today 🎉

  • As someone has said Nookie is not a food. Some say the 'G' is silent in the word gnocchi, but the g before the n is part of what determines how the word is pronounced. If the 'G' was silent or had no effect, then the word would be pronounced Nokie, but the 'G' changes that. The 'gn' sound is similar to the sound created when we say the word onion. (ni sounds like nyuh). ie: onion sounds like un-yun
    Proper pronunciation of gnocchi:

In the video, did I hear you say you put up a video about veggie burger reviews? Link?

  • Macaroon rhymes with 'moon' is what you are making. Macaron rhymes with 'on' is the French cookie. Two different things from what I understand. I'm going to make those and maybe get the cookbook.

  • These recipes have a lot of ingredients and seem to take a lot of time. Some look pretty good but not sure they are worth all the time.

  • Hey Team, catie from melbourne Victoria Australia 🇦🇺. I love turmeric a LOT (thanks dr greger) 😊 tak to me about fresh coriander,, then I get the shivers 😅

  • I have this cookbook, although I rarely use it. In the 2 years since the cookbook was released I think Jackie's newer recipes on her website and IG account are much better. The Chili Roasted Chickpea Mango Bowl with Coconut Rice is very good.

  • Plain Unsweetened Greek Yogurt should taste like sour cream so use something with a similar taste/texture profile. Tofu would work for texture but I’m not sure what to add for flavor.

  • Hi Jeremy, Susie here from Lewisburg Pennsylvania, home of Bucknell University!! I am just loving cauliflower at the moment. I'm making it in my air fryer, making it into Alfredo sauce, putting frozen cauliflower in my nice cream and smoothies. Just loving it ❤

  • Online, the minimalist baker has a recipe to make your own coconut butter.

  • Acorn squash

  • Nookie isn’t a food item, it’s slang for something else – google it and you will laugh out loud like I did when I heard you say it 🤭! Gnocchi is an Italian food item that is pronounced a little differently, nee-o-key but with an Italian accent 😉. This was a great review of a cookbook that looks great! Thank you

  • It's a bit small of me but I don't look at anything that has to do with food and has the word 'clean' in it.

  • Making gnocchi by hand will make a soft, delicate final product. Using the food processor is creating the heavy, doughy finished gnocchi. I would whip the potato in processor then put into a large bowl. Add the additional ingredients and fold until it's no longer sticky. It will be light and soft texture. They're super yummy if made slowly by hand

  • I live it the Midwest but would visit family in Toronto often. I loved that we said things differently. The world would be boring if we were all the same!

  • I have a theory about the lemon bars. I think the melted butter would have solidified at room temp, creating a barrier against the liquid filling. So I'm thinking this would work with aquafaba if you freeze the crust before adding in the filling? That way it would stay solid until the filling can solidify? Now I have to try it…😂

  • I’m not into complicated recipes with many ingredients. I pass on this cookbook.

  • Maybe it’s just the way you pronounce it in Canada is different from the way we pronounce it here in the States, but all of my Italian American friends pronounce the pasta dish (gnocchi) you made as Nyo-Key or No-Key but never as Nookie (which means something else entirely.)

I do ask two things of you, please. Some table manners – I really enjoy your show, but I am often left feeling queasy because you chew with your mouths open and talk with food in your mouths. And your son could learn that he doesn’t have to put his head down to his plate because his arms do this miraculous thing called lifting, so his forkful/spoonful of food comes right up to his mouth while he’s sitting upright! He actually doesn’t have to eat like a puppy. Amazing! And the second thing is, could you please edit out your F bombs and other adults only rated language? Some of us have children in the room and/or family members who are highly sensitive to vulgarity. I don’t want to make your videos a late night guilty pleasure. Thanks! 😅

Lastly, congratulations Canada for a well-played hockey game!
