In this video, I head deep into the wild forest during the autumn season to test my survival skills and enjoy the incredible beauty of nature. The forest is quiet, filled only with the sound of leaves crunching underfoot and the gentle breeze rustling through the treetops. It feels like I’ve entered another world—far from civilization and its constant hustle and bustle. My goal was simple: to build a shelter and spend the night in nature. For this, I chose a tree that seemed perfect for creating my temporary home. The shelter was simple but sturdy enough to provide comfort for a night’s rest. I didn’t need luxury or modern amenities—just the natural materials found in the forest.

In such a place, it’s important to not only shelter yourself from the weather but also think about food. Knowing this would be a trip requiring some effort, I decided to prepare a traditional dish that my grandmother taught me to make in the village. This was a dish with pumpkin, a recipe passed down through generations. My grandmother made this dish when she was a child, living simply in the countryside, so I wanted to recreate it and enjoy it in the wild. I packed a fresh, ripe pumpkin for this purpose. I wanted to make something true and flavorful that would embody the spirit of this journey.

The pumpkin became the centerpiece of my meal. I cut off the top of the pumpkin and scooped out the soft flesh and seeds. Then, I prepared the meat over the coals, chopping it into small pieces and placing it inside the pumpkin. To add flavor, I made a sauce from mayonnaise, apples, potatoes, fried mushrooms (which I also cooked over the campfire), peppers, and tomatoes. The pumpkin was filled with these wonderful ingredients, and I covered it with the pumpkin lid. I wrapped everything in foil and placed it on the hot coals. The coals added an amazing smoky flavor to the dish as everything cooked.

For about an hour, I kept an eye on the fire and the cooking process, making sure not to overcook the meal. Cooking over coals is both an art and a challenge, so it’s important to be careful not to burn yourself or leave the food in the coals for too long. When the meal was ready, I carefully took it out of the coals, unwrapped the foil, and the aroma was incredible. The food was juicy and delicious, unlike anything I’d ever tasted before. The combination of meat, vegetables, and the pumpkin created a perfect balance of flavors, and the cooking process only heightened the importance of this moment.

After enjoying the incredible dinner, it was time to watch the sunset. The forest, at this time, became even more mysterious and beautiful. I felt an overwhelming sense of peace with nature. It became my companion throughout this journey. As the sun began to set behind the horizon, I decided to settle down for the night. Nature at night is as magical as during the day, and spending the night in the forest gave me a sense of tranquility and oneness with the world.

Trips like this have great benefits for both the body and the mind. They help us reconnect with nature, relieve stress, and take a break from the chaos of daily life. Sometimes, it’s important to disconnect from the hustle and bustle and just spend time outdoors, enjoying the peace and beauty around you. These journeys offer time for reflection, for observing nature, and even for rediscovering yourself as part of the natural world.

However, it’s important to remember basic safety rules during these types of trips. Being cautious when handling open flames is crucial, as carelessness can lead to serious burns. I learned this the hard way in the video, as I wasn’t as careful as I should have been when working with the fire, and I accidentally burned myself. This was an important lesson for me, as even in simple activities like cooking over an open fire, it’s essential to be as careful as possible. Always keep lighters away from the fire, and be cautious when handling hot objects. Stay vigilant to ensure the process is both enjoyable and safe.

These kinds of trips can become not only a physical challenge but also an opportunity for emotional restoration. They offer a chance to feel real satisfaction from being able to find and create everything you need for comfort using the resources available in the wild. They give us the opportunity to recharge, test our skills, and immerse ourselves in a peaceful and harmonious environment.
