I'm like you in that I don't like having to have my passport taken away. It happened to me once on a cruise and the ship made it mandatory for every passenger. We didn't get them back till the night before we docked at the end of the cruise. Great video as always.

I suggest Ship owners in the Philippines would consider making a Domestic Cruise ship to go around the Archipelago the way a normal Cruise Ship would do?
Why take boat if plane is so cheap and fast?
Why didn't you just take a flight? It would have saved you 27 hours. I mean, you have had to go through NAIA but to save a whole day, it might be worth it.

I liked the video, and I’m looking forward to trying 2GO this fall. My first ferry trip from Manila to Cebu was with Sulpicio Lines in 1998 (!), and my girlfriend and I had to get the cheapest ticket. It was a huge common area with a karaoke bar as our closest neighbor. The volume was cranked up all night, and the singer had a voice that would put a hyena to shame. A full-blown storm hit as well. But I loved it … I love the Philippines, the people, and I’ve lived here for 15 years.

Although there are faciilities for passengers, I think the ship you were in is a cargo ship – not a passenger cruise liner. The ship prefers cargo than passengers. And rarely they leave on time as there are more cargoes to load than passengers coming in. Delays can stretch to a day. It's better to take a plane hopping from one island to another. Unlike in Japan where train and shipping lines are giving airliners stiff competition with better accommodations and cuisine, the Republic of the Philippines transportation system is still in the doldroms.
Ok. Something else to maybe check out in the future for me. Probably not many single women but as a change up it not bad for $152. Pool? Gym? Wifi for VR gaming?

Never seen a luxury ferry in the Philippines in 10 years
This shipping company is one of the shittiest I and my family have ever experienced, I wish there’s another competition by boat. When we got there at the pier we were so excited, and then we were in the terminal waiting for 2 hours. After 2:30 hours wait the Stewart came and for forgiveness and patience there’s some troubleshooting in the engine room and that lead to 26 hours waiting at the terminal if they were honest and told us it will not be done in 24 hours, we could go back home instead of spending the whole night and day in a row of seats, one child 5 years old, my husband and my uncle. This was April 2023 from Manila to Butuan. Then they checked our tickets and stole back our meal coupons and too much reasoning, denying, blaming before they give it back to us. They see Americans $$$$ in the bag for them. Then the service in the restaurant are awful they will ignore you to death I swear to manananggal I will never ride to that shipping company.
