If I wanted to add popped quinoa, would I pop it first or let the oven do it? I've never tried to pop quinoa before sorry if it's a dumb question
The date paste mixture omg yum over the top😊😊
I recently learned that flax seeds need to be ground to absorb the beneficial oils. What are your thoughts on this and using ground flax instead?
Everywhere I've found dates they are exorbitantly priced! We no longer live near a costco or Sams club. Small amounts are marked up to ridiculous prices where we live and by the pound at the health food store, over priced!
I loved seeing the clip you included with the animals ❤. Also, I’m making this granola!
Great recip
YUM!
Everyone should buy the book The Vegan Pantry….the best investment I've made!!!
I absolutely love the recipe in your Vegan Pantry book! I've been making it regularly since I first bought the book. Thanks for sharing! 😀
Great recipe! Love seeing you with your beautiful animal friends. ❤
Love your books!
I believe you are the most interesting woman on the planet 🌎 !!!
I love this recipe! I have your book and have been using this granola as the base for my breakfast for several years!
Wonderful❤
Thank you for another great recipe! I haven't had granola in ages because it is impossible to find a store brand that doesn't contain loads of oil and sugar. I've already started to soak dates so I can make this tomorrow!
Miyoko, this looks like a wonderful recipe!! Thank you for sharing it🌿🕊️
Although Miyoko says that you can use Brazil nuts like any other nut, that's not exactly right. If you plan to chop and add quite a few and eat the granola often, you could end up taking in too much selenium.
Don't consume more than 2, maybe 3 Brazil nuts in a day unless you want selenium poisoning. Which you don't.
Thank you Miyoko! I'm going to make this today, I was actually looking for a good granola recipe, no oil, no added sugar…I've ordered your book after watching this. Can't wait to see it. Love all your recipes & videos!
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
I prepare yogurt with the recipe you shared with us. Now I will prepare the granola clusters. Yummy!! Thank you Miyoko. 🙂
this makes me want to make and eat granola. yum
Mmmmm- gotta restock on dates today. Thanks for the reminder, Miyoko!
I have tried both — adding dried fruit before baking or directly after baking. I prefer the dried fruit baked with all the other ingredients as Miyoko did. It’s a personal preference. I suggest bakers try both methods to decide which is best for them.
Thanks for including some oil free recipes even though it is not your usual way. Love all your videos!! ❤️
Grinding the flax seed makes it absorbable and also adds some extra binding strength! Yummy! I have had this book for ever! Still my go-to!
