Marie, I've been making a mistake with ground beef. You took a paper towel and sopped up the grease from the ground beef. I've been rinsing my ground beef with hot water to remove the grease. Watching this video, I realized that I've been washing the flavor from the ground beef. Great video. My cooking skills are improving by watching your videos. Thanks!

Your Soup looks delicious Marie! That's almost exactly how I make mine. I add left over Roast, Corn , Green Beans, and Cabbage to mine with a whole big Onion! Hi Marie & Calvin, that is a healthy, hearty soup for this time of year. With a storm forecast for tonight 8 to 10 inches of snow, I'm going to round up my veggies & we some leftover roast beef, this will be dinner tomorrow. Probably be snowbound for the next 48 hours. So thank you for a great dinner idea. God bless you both & your families.

Gosh that looks so tasty and nutritious. Soup is a real comfort food for me, and all those fresh veggies look so yummy. I never thought of putting Worcestershire sauce in, I'll bet that really adds to the flavorful broth. I like the idea of adding other veggies like cabbage, lima beans, corn…the possibilities are endless!

Great job Marie! Calvin you have wonderful cutting skills as well as a big help! I've been making a lot of soup lately. Whole chicken in the crockpot w/potatoes, carrots, onions and seasoning/garlic, onion powder, chicken powdered stock, bay leaves and S&P. Then I save the stock from it take most of the meat off and boil the bones on very low for about 4-6 hours adding water as needed. Put in my egg noodles in half an hour and I add my frozen mixed veggies. I usually add extra peas and carrots. Taste test and maybe some more powdered chicken stock. Two great meals fairly reasonable. I buy the whole carrots, they're less expensive and the frozen veggies are .98¢ each all at Walmart! Whew this long…sorry…much love as always!

Looks good as usual! Growing up, the 'big' meal of the day was dinner. Usually it was the evening meal, but on Sundays we always had a big meal after church so that was dinner, and the evening meal was supper. That's just how my little family sorted it. Vegetarian would leave out the hamburger meat and Substitute Vegggie stock for the beef broth. It's super yummy!
