How to make healthy smoothies with frozen fruit (3 recipes!)
I’ve been waiting for a regular person to make logical smoothies with frozen fruit for months now. A simple YouTube search always led me to the cutest buff 20-something people in their workout gear and good abs talking to me about kale and chia seeds.
And I like kale and chia seeds. And I like buff 20-somethings.
But this 42 year old busy mother of 2 needs logical, nourishing recipes my family will enjoy and I won’t have to fuss too hard to make. Healthy smoothies are the key to transitioning your family away from breakfasts of pancakes, muffins, and cereal and on to fats that keep their blood sugar stable all day!
Here are the ingredients for the three we’re making today and the links to the products I recommend. **Remember collagen, dairy free yogurt, dairy free milk, orange juice, and natural sweeteners can all be used in any of these recipes.
1. Till lunch
– 1 egg yolk* or the whole egg from a pastured egg ONLY
– 1/2 c coconut water or unsweetened kefir
– 1/2 c. whole milk yogurt (I love Fage 5%)

– 1 teaspoon raw honey
2. Almond butter and banana
– 2 cups frozen sliced bananas

This is a no for me to much going on I need a simple health smoothie 😂
Keep is simple Just real Greek Yoghurt and frozen berries. You don't need all those ingredients.
You lost me with the raw egg!
Just tried the almond butter and banana one and it is very yummy., I didn't't use any honey or sweetener, just vanilla and Wow I will repeat this again. Thanks!
Walmart brand of plain Greek yogurt is half the price of Fage and their ingredients are 2% difference.
Fruits, Bluebell Ice Cream, a little milk or yogurt & Sugar
Everything but an egg for me.
Heathly ? Not! Greens missing and honey is sugar.
Great video. Thanks for sharing.😊
Too much talking 😢
Miss seeing you on here 🙂
I love Chia Seeds and Flax
Loved this! Thank you for no chia seeds – neither The Hubs or I like them, and all the recipes we find seem to have them! Greatly appreciate you not having them!
The fat from the dairy acts as a stopper. The body won’t absorb all the nutrients from the smoothie. Use fat free or stay away from dairy when making smoothies
👍
What blender model is that?
I love the wild blueberries too…when we lived in NC we'd make an annual trip in the fall to Craggy Gardens and up toward Mt. Mitchell and pick as many as we could…Harvesting the fruit was permitted…We'd go home and make pancakes with them for supper. It was so delicious when those berries would pop open in your mouth.. .regular blueberries pale in taste compared to wild blueberries which we call huckleberries. The annual trek became an event b/c sometimes friends would go too..we'd make a day of it, taking a picnic lunch. The wild blueberries freeze very nicely. What a treat they were.
NEVER use "Kerr" brand jars! SMH! 🥺🤧😔
Do you let the fruits thaw a little bit before blending? I heard that, over time, blending rock hard frozen fruits is bad for the blender and can void the warranty.
Once I found out that honey is just Bee vomit 🤢
Thanks for sharing your smoothies!!! 💖❤😄🌹💐🙏
