Welcome back to my channel! As a working mom, preparing for Shabbat can feel like a marathon, but it’s also one of my favorite parts of the week. It’s that special time to pause, unplug, and bring a sense of calm and holiness into my home.

In today’s video, I’ll walk you through how I get everything done – from meal planning and cooking to setting up for Shabbat – all while juggling the chaos of a busy workweek.

  • We spend all week preparing for wonderful Shabbat

  • R u hosting a large crowd or the whole of New York?!
You do amazing work, I don’t know how you manage work, a zillion kids AND make the most beautiful shabbat?! Amazing.
And dolma! If you don’t stuff the vegetables to the brim you leave room for the rice to swell.
    שבת שלום🌸

  • excellent Ma'am…love this preperation

  • Superbe table de Shabbat qui m’inspire ❤ Shabbat Shalom Sonya and your family ..

  • Another unsolicited tip: put a small amount of rice into the sugar to keep it dry. The rice needs to be enough to absorb the moister for the amount of sugar you have.

  • Every time I watch your videos, there is always a sense of peace and pride on your Shabbat prep. I have yet to find that joy in my own Sabbath prep but pray that God will bless me with this joy to welcome in this beautiful time of rest and fellowship with family and friends.

  • Thank you for sharing all your recipes. It is so nice to have company and different ideas for food while preparing food.

I am very surprised that I only noticed now and that you are unaware, but here is an unsolicited time saving tip:

Turn the tinfoil cover upside down in it's box so that you cover your food with the less shiny side. The reason it saves so much time is because the shiny surface reflects heat off what is covered. So you are losing heat, energy of the oven, and time for cooking dishes. I hope this helps you.

Enjoy the Shabbaton. I wish I could join you, not only because of the delicious food, but your company and your family's company. ❤❤❤

  • too rich
