Easiest Paneer butter masala 🤯. Weekly staple at our home 😋 #paneer #paneerbuttermasala
Ingredients:
– 2 onions 🧅 medium chopped
– 2 tomatoes 🍅 medium chopped
– 1 green pepper 🫑 and 1/2 yellow pepper and 1/2 orange, red is great too I was just out of stock on red.
– 1 packet store bought paneer (380gms)
– 1 tbsp butter and little oil butter 🧈
– 6 cloves garlic 🧄 medium chopped
– 1 inch ginger 🫚 in halves
– 5 green chillies🌶️ in halves or large slits
– 1/2 cup cashews or handful
– 1.5 tsp cumin seeds (jeera)
– 1 cinnamon stick
– 3 cloves
– 3 cardamom
– 1 tsp red chilli powder
– 1 tbsp kitchen king spice mix (use 1 tsp garam masala if you don’t have this)
– 1/4 tsp turmeric powder (haldi)
– 1/2 cup water or more to adjust gravy consistency to your preference
– 1 tbsp kasoori meethi (dried fenugreek leaves)
Method:
– In a pan sauté peppers until charred and set aside.
– Same pan add butter and little oil and cumin seeds until aromatic.
– Toss in the chopped onions, ginger garlic and green chillies, cashews and salt – cook until onions are translucent.
– Add in tomatoes and cook until they’re soft.
– Blend the mixture into a smooth gravy.
– In the same pan add in butter, jeera, cinnamon stick, clove and cardamom and sauté for a minute until aromatic then add the gravy to the pan.
– Add in the spices (haldi, red chilli, kitchen king spice mix) and kasoori meethi give it a mix
– Add water to get the gravy to your preferred consistency
– Toss in the sautéed peppers and paneer and let it cook for just a couple minutes and garnish with coriander or more kasuri meethi.
– Enjoy with roti or paratha 🫓 😋
