Your mom’s way of washing the cauliflower is exactly what I learned from my mom, and she learned it from her’s. And my grandma brought it 1938 from Poland to Germany after she learned it from her mom. If I would draw a family-cauliflower-tree of my family, it went back to at least 1898, the year my great-grandmother married and began her own cauliflower-washing-history with vinegar and water. How did this knowledge criss-cross the ocean and landed in your family? Or was it the other way round? Will we ever know?🤔 No!😄

Made it, loved it, and so did my dad(not vegan). I added cashews to the blend to boost creaminess and upped the spices a bit, and used a pablano instead of jalapeno since I wanted to try it. Yummy!🤌🏽 Going to offer some to a work mate that is trying out plant based options.

Recommend adding some Anaheims or some Poblanos. Hatches if you can get them. So real peppers will really enhance your chili.

I have been diabetic for a year, and have lost an amazing amount of weight (over 50 lbs) on the diabetic diet prescribed by my health clinic, but it has I meant eating A LOT of animal protein. Made me sad. I want to return to eating more vegetarian/vegan food. My blood sugar is now in the pre-diabetic range, I am sure I can do this. Thank you for posting this recipe, it looks delicious. Even to someone who isn't fond of either cauliflower or corn!

I've never seen a Dutch oven that is white on the inside? I'm assuming that it's clay? I wonder how the heat transfer compares to cast iron Dutch ovens?
