  • I live in Edinburgh and Lidl is not that great here when it comes to vegan products. They rarely have Vemondo products, often found only during limited offer weeks and then gone again from the shelves for another 6 months 🙁 always depends on the branch as well you find yourself in. I love the Vemondo Chocolate Spread and tend to buy 2x400g jars when I spot them, cause you can guarantee they won't be there in stock for a while again. It really is a shame. I am from Germany and the whole Vemondo range at Lidl there is brilliant !! Very different to what we get in the UK.

  • Only started watching you guys ,think you pair are brilliant and now I’m a fan 😊started the vegan life this year ,my daughter is now a follower too ,look forward to your videos keep it up , all the best sue in Ireland 🥰☘️

  • I have to shop with my mum, she has no special awareness, never has, it’s not and age thing, she literally runs people over, time and time again, it’s worst when it’s a child, scary and true x

  • Quick question which would be a long answer no doubt,, I need to gain 4 stone asap ,,, any help or recommendations would help, doctors haven’t helped in last 10 years so I don’t want either of you to feel any pressure and I confirm here and now that you are 100% not responsible xxxxx

  • Why have I only just found you pair! I love your vibe with the veganuary offers!! Such a shame though they only offer things for month of Jan and then it’s just basic stuff. I’ve been a vegan for 12yrs and have a daughter who is a vegan chef! It’s wonderful to see other vegan folks like you showing everyone how well we can eat. 👏🏻👏🏻

  • Wow wish we had a Lidl I would buy all of it, hopefully some of it is left when we are in England next month

  • I love the schnitzel

  • My granddad uses the simply soya 50p and it actually goes well in tea and coffee. Offset the bitterness of the coffee with a 1/4-1/2 tsp of sugar to avoid curdling in coffee.

  • Those vegan tortillas should be made all year round .

  • Blueberry vemondo desserts are lovely I bought the lemon biscuits and vanilla ones and many more items.

  • That plant based Lasagne is gorgeous, wish it could become a core, staple item, with the samosa and tortilla. I see what you mean re. the moussaka…very offputting. I love moussaka , it would look better if frozen, however.

  • The Vegan Moussaka is amazing IMHO , doesn't look good agreed, taste wonderful though

  • Don't they have the vemondo bolognaise mini pizza's this year?? My 9 year old has been waiting all year

  • Hey guys! amazing video as always, how much did that shop cost? Thank u!

  • Have been enjoying these videos. Grateful for the time and effort you put in making these (always informative to hear about new products, which ones you'd recommend and love your humour (and sharing the difficult and challenging parts of life too)). Wishing you the best in 2025 and keep sharing!

  • Thanks guys love the vlogs always

  • Well done lads.. keep up the good work x
I was invited to a friends for new year and she had a variety of real good vegan cheeses.. from waitrose.
Whatever she paid there was worth it as vegan cheeses not always great.❤

  • ❤ enjoyed this one, great chat x

  • Really enjoyed this, guys, probably the least pretentious YT video I've seen! Thanks guys. I'll have to watch it again – with a notebook, this time! 🙂

  • What a great video. Lidl looks fab for vegan stuff, thanks for this. The only thing that puts me off going is, everything is fast, I have MS and one hand is virtually useless. I would hear huffing and puffing people thinking I’m taking too long. But this video was fab, thank you

  • Don't cut the chat i love it. Great food blog. Spacial awareness and social skills i feel is worse in supermarkets. Drives me mad ❤

  • I popped into Lidl yesterday and was super impressed. I was able to find nearly all the products in your vlog which was great! I tried the 'fish' fingers for tea and they weren't bad at all. OMG that pretzel chocolate!!! I wish I'd bought 6 bars! But then it's perhaps best I didn't..thank you for hunting out all these products for us. It's so useful! X

  • The Lidl moussaka is bloody lovely. It looks awful but flavour wise it's on par with their vegan lasagne

  • Thank you for an amazing video! You have both made my nearly 3 yr vegan journey so easy and continue to do so. You make my shopping experience easy! You both really do provide an excellent public service ❤ much love and happy new year x

  • If you like oatly barista it’s on club card special at Tesco at the moment for £1.50 😊

  • thank u always for creating these vlogs ..

  • Some of the bits at Lidl look really interesting even if it's not clear what it is. 😁

  • All of the chilled plant meat free range is very good and very well priced
Aldi also do an excellent range, the vegan sweet potato falafel and Pakora are delicious, I buy the microwave lime & coconut rice to go with them.. really substantial tasty filling meal that's so quick – easy.
I'm a Non Meat eater but I do eat fish & dairy, I tend to buy any plant range as they're much nicer than a basic vegetarian product
It's so easy to eat traditional type meals with the added extra of more modern takeaway type menu at very reasonable prices
The British supermarket's are slowly catching up with expanding their own brand plant range but are more expensive with the big brands being significantly more expensive
I personally like Tesco's own plant range

  • I've not managed to get to Lidl this week for the 4 filled pasta. I like them all and freeze well. Really cheap compared to Tesco/Waitrose/Sainsbury's filled vegan pastas too.

I noticed last week my local store finally got the new core permanent section the store you visit got a few weeks ago (permanent according to manager I asked and they wouldn't bother putting up a meat free sign if it wasn't stopping). It's great to see such a wide range and although Aldi beat Lidl with the frozen range I think Lidl beat Aldi with this core range of fresh products). I want to try the lasagne

  • WHAT!!! Those prices 🙁 🙁 A loaf of bread similar to what is shown here in NZ is $4.50. Hummus is $3.50 and fancy hummus is even more. Vegan bacon is $11 for a similar size, pkt of 2 burger patties $12, pkt 6 sausages $10 to $12, mince $11, plain tofu $5.50, cheese is $10 for 200g. Plant milks are $4 to $7 per litre. The range in this video is simply amazing.
The range of manufacturers and items are severely lacking and dwindling.

  • Love you two xx your be proud i ordered a vegan hello fresh for me n my husband n we are meat eaters but we are going to try our best

  • My Lidl has exactly zero of this range and I’m in London near a uni. Not even soya milk (the cheapest plant milk to boot). Is it just me?

  • What I love about your vlog is that it’s not precious. So often, many vegan vlogs/recipes assume it’s all about body as temple approach and trying to persuade us that organic chia seeds and the dreaded quinoa, (harvested at the second hour of the full moon only if there’s no R in the month) are a great substitute for fish & chips. Sometimes we just want something easy that tastes nice, especially those of us in the ‘vegan for the animals’ category. Thanks, and keep up the good work.

  • Some of the prices on this food would be amazing even for canadian grocers. The cost of plant based mock products is through the roof. I wish these companies would stop charging so much.

  • The no spatial awareness thing drives me up the wall too! And I’m one of the ‘older people’…

  • Hahaha! "Bill and Sandra" …. I do that too … make up names for people I see!

  • Shall take a look tues weather permitting as its snowing..did they do any vegan icecream..had 2 kittens zoomin round my living room ..i even had a calm down barbara in my head as they both zoomed over my lap across the sofa .7 n 8 months n full of mischief 😂😂😂if uv said in the vlog i appologise ..missed it ..thr poke bowl n sushi are so good ..nice to see some pieces have never left the building..theres afew things there id love to go grab if i can.i like trying new bits..always greatful for ur shopping vlogs even as a vegan not new to it.u never stop inspiring..thankyou for all you do ❤

  • You are really churning these out! I once again thank you for always looking after your subscribers/viewers, no matter what is going on. Apart from your great content, that is what makes this one of the best spots at Vegantube!

  • What threw me was that the Lidl specials were in the end of the meat fridges. I walked past it twice and then spotted it. I scoured through the store a few times cos I wanted to try the cordon bleu item.

So unfair that different stores stock different items. You expect it in different countries but not the same one

  • I love you two to pieces. I keep watching because of you, as I eat a mostly whole food plant based diet (as in, 13 years vegan, but now I prefer to avoid processed food), and the grocery haul is irrelevant as I live in Australia! But you are delightful and you are doing a great service to people who choose a cruelty free life. Good on you, you are so fabulous.

  • Which is the best milk for tea???

  • Secure your e-book website. Love your channel.❤‍🔥

  • Thanks for another great vlog, it’s a wonderful time to be vegan ❤❤

  • OMG I have just tried that chocolate bar and it is lush. Had to squirrel it away otherwise I would have eaten the lot. Shame it's on the limited offers so might not be around for long. So get it while you can folks. What did you think of it?

  • A big well done to Lidl and their massive selection and to you guys for showing it all to us. That was an outstanding amount. You two swearing at the tannoy…give us that outtakes reel please!🤣. Don't get us started on personal space invaders. The amount of times we've been stood in a queue and had breath and coughs on our necks…why I oughta!🤬🤣

  • The vegan queens do their make up better than me dead jealous ❤ xx
