Ingredients
For Basil Chutney:
Basil: 1 cup
Coriander: 1/2 cup
Garlic: 3-4 cloves
Lemon juice: 1 tbsp
Black pepper: 1/2 tsp
Salt: As per taste
Honey: 1/2 tsp
Curd: 2 tbsp
Green chilies: 1-2
For Sandwich:
Focaccia bread: 1 loaf( You can use regular bread for this recipe, but trust me, using focaccia elevates the flavors and takes the taste to the next level!)
Tofu: 100g, sliced
Tomato: 1 large, sliced into rounds
Lettuce leaves: 3-4
Salt, oregano, black pepper, chili flakes: To season
Recipe:
Step 1: Prepare Basil Chutney
Blend basil, coriander, garlic, lemon juice, black pepper, salt, honey, curd, and green chilies into a smooth chutney.
Step 2: Prepare Tofu & Tomato
Sauté tofu slices on a tawa (pan) until golden on both sides.
On the same tawa, sauté tomato slices seasoned with salt, oregano, black pepper, and chili flakes.
Step 3: Assemble the Sandwich
Slice focaccia bread into halves and toast on a tawa until lightly golden.
Spread basil chutney on one side of the bread.
Add lettuce, sautéed tofu, and tomato slices.
Place the other half of the bread on top.
Your Focaccia Tofu Sandwich is ready! Enjoy!
