Marinated & Grilled Portobello Mushrooms ~ Noreen’s Kitchen
We made some steaks the other day and what better to go next to a steak than a marinated Portobello mushroom? These are very easy to make, and quick to cook once your grill is good and hot. Marinate them in some Italian dressing or another favorite, Teriyaki marinade and you are in for a nice treat!
Portobello mushrooms are a nice option if you have vegetarian friends because these are delicious and meaty and they are going to love them as well! So throw on your steaks and Sunday onions along with these mushrooms and you will have a meal fit for the royal family!
I hope you give these grilled Portobello mushrooms a try and I hope you love them!
Happy Eating!

😋😎
Lucky guy Rick!
We just tried this. First time grilling mushrooms. Magical. Thanks for sharing.
Hi Noreen. Hope all is well. Comments are 4 years old. Thanks for the video.
We randomly bought some to grill with our steaks today. Since I have never cooked mushroom caps, I turned to YouTube for ideas. We found your video and decided to try your recipe. It was fantastic! I plan to use this marinate for other items in the future. Thanks for the helpful video.
See absolutely best way to eat them!
I wonder how they would taste marinated in red wine.
Omg, they look absolutely delicious. I just hunted 10lbs of Chanterelles and I’m definitely gonna try this with some of them. Thanks for a great video.
Can i use shitake mushrooms instead?
I know a lot of Italian dressings have terrible ingredients. Do you mind sharing the Italian dressing you bought please and thanks. Actually I’m trying your method out now. About to put my shrooms on the grill in 15 min
Wow it looks like steak – thanks!
Looks delicious and no animals suffered for this meal.👍😍
Whoa, they look just like meat! Can't wait to try this recipe – thank you!
Can't wait to try this! I do grill mushrooms when having a BBQ but haven't tried it with teriyaki sauce! Thanks for such an awesome idea and for your videos I have tried almost all your recipes, I love them!
I use those for pizza when I want to low carb it. So yummy. I do them on the grill or in the oven.
Love this recipe.I found to not only gill the mushrooms….but if you peel the skin off of them …the marinade soaks in better as well as they are not as slick.Thx
The gills can trap dirt. Removing them can minimize that flavor but personally I don't do that. Finish cooking with the gills up because the top will seal in the juices which get loosened up as they cook.
Oh my, those looks absolutely delicious!! I usually sauté or bake them but after seeing this I definitely want to grill them. Thanks for sharing. 🙂
really looks tasty. iam going to give it a try.
Cant find this recipe on your website and you didn't say what sauce you put in with the Italian dressing. Is it Worcestershire sauce?
if you couldn't get portabello's, for example, could you do this with other mushrooms? you know, marinade them then grill them?
Looks yummy! Thanks for sharing!!..Dave in WV
i just can't wait to make these – in fact, i want to reach right in that video and grab them right now!!!
While I so enjoy your cooking videos, I'd like to see you do more crafting videos, Noreen. You're the best!
Portobellos the best!
That's it I'm gonna have to buy a grill!
Noreen, are you comfortable sharing what Italian dressing you use? I have never bought any, as the only one I ever had at a friends house I didn't like. I would like to try your marinating trick with the steak and mushrooms!
Hey Mrs.Noreen I was wondering what happened to ricks tip I have not be seeing any videos I missing them
I'm Australian and haven't seen them used without the gills. Why do you take them off please ?? I'm so curious.
YUM. I've never scraped the gills — do you do that for texture preference or for flavor of both? I want these NOW.
Yay – vegan recipe! Please do more vegan and vegetarian recipes.
Woohoo! A vegan recipe (:
