Cream Cheese Pie Crust Recipe ~ Noreen’s Kitchen
Many of you know, pie dough is my one nemesis in the recipe box! I saw this version that uses butter, cream cheese flour and sugar and thought I would give it a try. I will be making a deep dish apple slab pie with this crust. In the end I think this was a very successful pie crust. Nice flaky pastry that cooked evenly and sliced beautifully!
I hope you give this different version of pie crust a try and I hope you love it!
Happy Eating and Happy Thanksgiving!

Thanks! I'll give it a try.
this is basically our kiffle dough, or version of tassie dough, fantastic dough we prefer it over most
Look good
Put the the whole mix into a food processor and pulse just until it forms a ball.
Someone gave me the recipe decades ago, which I tried and loved, and lost. 🤣 I think she said just press into the pan, don't bother to roll it unless you need to.
i like that dough…yes, i can try that with a little more sweetener (non caloric) and make little stuffed pies…fruit or cream cheese filling….i used this recipe pf yours a long time ago…super glad I found it again….thank you…
You really found a great pie dough. I like this one easy, quick and I can make. Thank you
That looks like more than half a cup of butter, no?
I’m making this pie crust for tomorrow. This pie crust is for a pecan pie.
I've been looking up this recipe for years. Mom used to make her turnivers using this recipe. Thank you!😊
Oh thanks for sharing just saw a similar recipe on Martha Stewart and then good chance to write it down so I appreciate your version of this cheesecake recipe for pie crust definitely will try with my food processor instead of my mixer I think it would be a little faster and come out just as good
You do yourself a disservice by saying that you can't make pie crust. This is a great, basic recipe. I love the ease of preparation, and the flaky, light texture. Give yourself a VERY big pat on the back!
That's different…I think it's the butter that makes all the difference. I struggled with pie crust too. Finally found one that uses half butter half Lard, and it was beautiful to work with. No cracking….you can roll it out right away. I did it between 2 sheets of parchment paper.
Can this crust be used in savory pies? or should I omit the sugar
This looks CRAZY good. I just HAVE to do this. Omg. I have so many pie ideas that would go PERFECTLY with this crust. So glad I found this. Thanx for the demo.
Looks good
I have made pie cream cheese crust for mushroom filled turnovers as well as broccoli cheese and ham and cheese turnovers or call them empanadas. So good.
I will have to try this. I never made pie dough before, this one would be great to try. Thanks for taking the time to make these videos.
??
Noreen, this pie dough looks wonderful. I will have to try this one since pie dough is most certainly one of my biggest nemesis lol. couple of questions though.
1. Would you Pre-bake the crust IF being used for a Pumkin Pie ?
and
2. is there a concern that your pie crust edges will burn by the time the pie is completely cooked ?
I absolutely love your channel and it has helped me become a better cook and baker. my Wife loves what I make but, I won't give her my Secret lol. have a wonderful Holiday Season
I've been trying to make pie dough for over forty years. So far – a no go. Since I can be stubborn, I'm going to try this one. It will not win is my battle cry!
Just come across your pıe crust Norren and I'm sorry to say ıt looks lıke road kıll.You burned ıt.Dont thınk I wıll be gıvın the a go.
Wow, Looks wonderful!! Thanks for the video. I am going to give this a try very soon…
I love the cheAs. pie.
If you make this again, it would be nice to see how it acted while being rolled out.. Thanks for your recipes!
I wonder how this would taste with a chocolate cream filling? Anyone know?
ooohhh I am trying this one. It looks wonderful. Never thought of cream cheese. Thank you!
that crust looked crumy and burned I would be ashamed to serve that ugly thing you made I think you needed to blend more and defenetly add water a little bit.
Don't suppose you'd be able to convert the pie crust recipe to weights for your UK subscribers. Pretty, pretty please.
Do I add salt Noreen to the crust or no salt
dose it freeze well?
(HOMESTEAD DREAMERS) I normally make my mother's easy oil and milk crust, but I am definitely going to try this with some of my home-canned apples. Looks yummy! I also want to try your pumpkin roll. Thanks, Noreen!
If she had put all of the ingredients into a food processor and pushed the pulse button just a couple of times, it would have saved her like an hour in manually cutting the ingredients together.
did you have to pre bake the pie crust or did you just roll it out and bake the pie as a whole?
hahah i am the same way..can't do a pie crust to save my life..and now…now I must attempt this..lol ohhh can you use the Crisco butter sticks for this, or should be an actual stick of butter?
I love this push pan crust. I've used this recipe for years.
I am going to use this recipe for a 9 inch deep dish pecan pie, can I store the other half of the pie crust in the freezer?
Wow, Awesome Idea, ok so I watched to late for Thanksgiving, lol, but will use in very near future…..Christmas …..Thank you for sharing
I used this recipe to make my first EVER from-scratch pie crust. It worked great! I can make pie crust now!! What a feather in my cap!
I've not had a problem making pie dough since using America's Test Kitchen recipe for vodka pie crust. I am going to try this though, it has got to taste outstanding with the use of cream cheese. Btw Noreen, I wanted to dive face first into that pie, oh my gosh soooo yummy looking.
Who knows, maybe no more store brand pie crusts. This looks simple and delicious, my kind of recipe. Thanks for testing this for us in advance. I am a visual learner so your videos are wonderful for me. I have cooked more in the last 6 months with your recipes than I have in so many years. Now I 'beg off' eating out so I can stay home and cook. Who says you can't teach an old dog new tricks. Thanks and have a blessed Thanksgiving holiday.
Yay!!!! Finally a homemade pie dough I can make and enjoy…. I too can make a whole host of things but have always resorted to store bought blech! Thank you Norden and Happy Thanksgiving!!!! Off to the kitchen lol 😀
Dare I go there? I have never had success with pie crust but only 4 ingredients? Can this go wrong? (If it can, it will happen to me). I'm guessing this would make a good crust for pumpkin pie, right?
That's crazy Noreen! Crazy DELICIOUS! I for one would have never thought cream cheese would hold together that nicely. Then you get the benefit of a flaky crust with a cream cheese taste! YUM I love cream cheese! Fantastic Recipe!
Cream cheese pie crust looks great Noreen & so much less intimidating. Certainly something I will try. Have you ever made sour cream pie crust? That works pretty well too for someone like me that struggles making pastry. Thank you 🙂
Wow…the cookies you mentioned in the video..keiflies (I'm sure i mangled the spelling) really bring back memories. The dough does seem similar. Any chance you could do a video on those ?
I have never made a cream cheese crust before. I have to try it this season.
If it worked well with regular flour it should work well with gluten free flour too.
Is it as good as regular pie crust? Was it hard to roll out such a large sheet?
