Power Air Fryer XL~Putting It To The Test~Air Fryer Demo & Review~Burgers & Fries~Noreen’s Kitchen

Get your Power Air Fryer XL here:

After many requests, I am going to share with you an un-boxing of the Power Air Fryer XL and put it to the test. We received this a few weeks back and have had the chance to really put it through it’s paces. We have put together a video demonstrating four items we cooked just for you to show you how this works and the pending result. We have plans to do more dedicated videos focusing on individual recipes in the future. So be sure to stay tuned to those. This air fryer has impressed us and we are so glad to have had the opportunity to test it and try it out for all of you who have been asking.

The Power Air Fryer XL is the larger model and holds 5.3 quarts. This can hold a small chicken or a pork roast. You can make your own air fried chicken nuggets, fish fillets, french fries or potato wedges and so much more. We decided to share with you how we made potato wedges, re heated some leftover barbecued chicken as well as cooking a frozen breaded chicken patty for a quick lunch and some frozen angus beef burgers to make a quick meal.

The word “fryer” is used because people are wanting to have a healthier option when it comes to cooking the foods that they love. I want you to think of this as more than just a way to make fried foods with less oil, I want you to think of this as a mini, super heated convection oven that fits on your countertop and is easy to clean up!

I must admit, Rick and I had never used an air fryer before and we did not know what to expect, neither of us had great hopes for the end result. I think both of us felt it was really more gimmick than anything. But we were wrong. Happily we can report that this thing has impressed the daylights out of us! We have done everything in here from chicken patties, burgers, and the potato wedges that we share in the video along with reheating leftovers quickly and not have them dried out. We have made frozen french fries and learned you can’t do them all at one time and we have made frozen chimichangas too. All of the items came out great. There is a bit of a learning curve but in time you will get the hang of things.

I have plans for lots of other recipes in this little dynamo of a machine! I can’t wait to share them with you! Is there something you would like to see me cook in there? Let me know in the comments section and i will put it on the list! This will do everything from breakfast to dessert with ease!

I think that this appliance is great for everyone! Families with teens or tweens, will be able to teach the kids how to use this and make healthy snacks or lunches when you cannot be there to help them. This would be great for college kids and perfect for dorm dwellers, travelling nurses, travelling construction workers, anyone who may have to be away from home for an extended period of time and need to cook for themselves in order to not be eating out constantly! I think that military members who are in a dorm would also benefit from this air fryer!

Think about campers or RV’s! This would be a great little addition to your kitchenette! Given that it has a small footprint and can get the job done fast. I think you could do a lot with this.

I hope that this review helps you if you were on the fence or just wanted to see if this thing actually worked like it said it did. My thanks to the good folks at Tri-Star Productions for giving us the opportunity to give the Power Air Fryer XL a spin. We love it and will continue to use it for lots of videos in the future!

I hope if you give this a try I hope you love it! If you have questions, let me know and I will try to answer them the best I can.

Happy Eating!

  • Open devider pls

  • I keep Tyson spicy chkn Pattie’s on hand all the time. Quick sandwich even on the go with a great bun. I also love breaded shrimp in mine . Lately though the sellers shrunk the size of the butterfly shrimp. So I’m making my own dry rub on raw shrimp. Works great . I always do my naked wings or breaded in mine then add the hot sauce and put back in 2 min to set that hot sauce.

  • I have this. I’ve used it a lot. I’m still using it and it’s old now. But still cleans up like new . I’ve got a new air fryer I’m using also. The ninja foodie grill XL. It has an air fryer, grill, bake, etc etc in it also. That air fryer in that is also very good. Clean up isn’t hard to clean. The mesh filter comes off to soak in Dawn hot water. But to clean the area of burner is a bit dangerous because there are sharp metal edges. But I clean mine after every use , it stays like new that way.

  • Wow it is so awesome

  • Love this airfryer but you made it sound as if it’s only for easy things which is not correct.
You can bake biscuits, cake muffins etc. I make casseroles, steaks, fried chicken fried, roasted
Vegetables. You can use many of your dishes you already have. You can get the parchment
Rounds cut to fit with the air holes from Amazon really cheap and you don’t have any waste
From cutting the paper so helpful.I’ve had the larger Power XL for about 4 yrs now and had no
Problem. I think it’s the best on the market. J

  • Is this a 3.5 or 5qt size?

  • I’m so glad I came across your videos. What a great way to make chicken sandwich. And the potato fries look good also. Just waiting for you to get the instapot. Would love to see you make something in it.tks for the videos. Nicky

  • Just opened mines today. The exact kind. Thank you for letting us know that flat piece is a divider. I had no idea what it was..😂

  • I wish someone would give me a free fryer. Must be nice.

  • Yummy!!!!

  • Just out of curiosity, where do you purchase your burger patties?

  • Are you still using your air fryer? And do you still love it?

  • Thank you! For mentioning traveling nurses!

  • Why do you no longer have this fryer

  • I love how you are showing everything i have in my freezer and im thinking how to cook everything i have in this bad boy. My kids now demand i use it for all there food

  • So far my favorite is doing chicken wings. I just used a rub and some oil. Then bbq sause for the last few minutes

  • So far i have done fries. Chicken wings. Nuggets and taquitos. Everthing came out so amazing. Better then nuwave and the kind with the big glass bowl. Im about to buy a second big one with 2 racks for pizza and a rotisserie.

  • They sell racks for this air fryer on Amazon so you can cook foods in two layers.

  • I have a stove and an oven already. they became popular a long time ago

  • Can I use parchment paper instead of foil? Great video!

  • Thank you

  • Very helpful. Naturally you feel that fear I just purchased it on December 6th 2018. When I purchased my instant pot I was afraid now I use it so much love it. Hope to feel that way about the air fryer.

  • Did you put any oil with the fries? If so how much?

  • I wonder how it would do with popcorn?

  • But how do you do fresh burgers? And fresh foods. Fresh potatoes. Not everyone buys frozen foods

  • Thank you for this review! It is something we have been thinking about trying and after seeing this we are going to buy one for sure!

  • I just got an Air Fryer XL given to me. Minus the divider and instructions or recipies. I've been watching different videos to guide me on how to use it. I did download the owners manual but ill still watch these videos to save time on trial and error. Thank you

  • Great video! Thanks for the demo!

  • That's how my fries came out

  • It works good did wings and fries came out good

  • Having AIRFRYER in my kitchen is the best thing I had in my life..

  • Hey Noreen 🙂 Can you do a come back on this product now that you have had this for a while? Thanks!

  • I have the 5.3qt. air fryer and a whole bag of fries came out perfect.

  • Thank you for sharing this Noreen. Now I definately buy one.

  • I am getting interested in getting an air fryer. I love fried food but I need to cut down. AS far as burnt hamburgers go there is no such thing as a burnt hamburger to me they just keep getting smaller. When I order a hamburger at a restaurant and they ask how I want it done I say very, very well. That is because my mother was a really good cook, but for some reason she always fried hamburgers so that they had a dark crust on them-they were slightly burnt. But as a kid I didn't know that and that is how I grew up eating hamburgers. To this day I love for my hamburgers to have a dark crust, i.e., slightly burnt.

  • Great Video !

  • Great video! I've been researching this product and really haven't used "new" kitchen stuff- you know, just the stove (too much heat for FL!), toaster oven, micro… But this looks like a great investment! The red XL is about to have a new home on my counter top! 🙂

  • The air fryer makes great grilled cheese sandwiches !
