  • No wonder the Romans were always fighting someone. They were on a never ending quest to find food that wasn’t insane. Once they finally found normal food the empire collapsed.

  • Well, we are all going to need a lot of cheesecake to binge on after this election…..

  • I baked libum several times (did even gluten free and gluten free + vegan versions) and they are sweet when you glace/dip them in honey. They are best eaten on the same day as they were made.
    Still, they are great snacks/treats when you have a guest over or on a day trip 🙂

  • The way you said flamingos "don't sing, they honk." Made me laugh so hard.

  • To maybe dress it up adding a fig or date compote (using period appropriate seasoning and sweeteners) on top would maybe worth trying.

  • There's one thing missing from this, and it's garum. Garum goes well with EVERYTHING!!!!!

  • New York cheesecake is an overpriced abomination mass produced but marketed as a fine cheesecake. made from powders and served in good coffee shops.

    the one and only real cheesecake is the vienna cheesecake, that i know from childhood and made by most eoropeans of old school generation, dying out generation.
