My mom used to make this I'm Asian but she doesn't make it anymore
lil story: once I bought vertically cut Bhindi in nursery school and some of the kids thought I bought pickles since bringing Pickels in school was forbidden, the kids made it such a big drama that the teacher haded to come. and when the teacher got to know about it she gave that are y'all dumb look (I still laugh about it) and told everyone to back to there seats and its bhindi. one the thing I'm so proud of is that I didnt take the criticism and defended my fav dish cause I have seen I lot of people stop eating aspecific dish just because some dumb shit said that it looks like something. and those kids r missing out a big thing, like really yall never tried vertically cut Bhindi?!
