Healthy Lunch | Pottery Barn Kids
Every parent wants to feed healthy and tasty food to their child. In this video, Pottery Barn Kids Nutritionist, Leith Brooks shows us some delicious yet wholesome recipes which can be added to the kid’s lunch box.
Seasonal fruits and vegetables served with wholegrain breads provide your child with energy and stabilize their blood sugar levels at lunch. Make a roasted chicken sandwich with cucumber slices, cheese and lettuce and cut it into a star shape for fun.
A wholegrain wrap is another balanced meal where you can use leftovers and add nutrition to your kid’s diet. Roll the wrap with white beans, brown rice, colorful veggies like cherry tomatoes and chopped lettuce.
You can also cook a healthy soup using protein-rich beans, carrots, onions, tomatoes, swiss chards, whole wheat pasta and pour it into the Pottery Barn Kids’ hot-cold food containers.
For dessert, give your child freshly sliced fruits instead of chocolate. It is a healthy option for a sweet treat for your child and provides great nutrition. Prepare a yogurt dip that’s sweetened with maple syrup and cinnamon powder.
Use the Pottery Barn Kids Klean Kanteens and fill it with water and add slices of orange or lemon, or whatever that your child prefers.

Although I feed my child healthy food, she turned her nose up at these suggestions. I will say I was surprised that pottery barn chose a person with such a dull and drab personality to promote a children's product. Not a single smile from this presenter. Zero change in voice. It made me want to nap. I did like the cookie cutter suggestion, I've used these plenty and always eat the left over scraps so that food isn't wasted.
hi will u plz dhow your kitchrn tour and if possible your house tour also.your kitchen is vey beautiful.
thank you.
We love your simplicity and knowledge… well done and thanks
Why mean comments? I would totally eat that. That is just a tiny bit of vegetable in my opinion. I live in Korea. And kids here eat vegetables every single day. Korea's side dishes are mostly vegetables. Man, if my friends saw this, they would freak out because come on sandwich and apples! So good!
Also canteens don't look like that, that is a water bottle
Poor advertising
U don't have to keep saying the pottery barn kids this and that we get it
the star for the sandwich is a waste because there was loads left
I hate when people say "kids won't eat this stuff". Well that's because the child was raised to not to normally eat these kinds of things. There are children who in Africa literally (and very sadly) eat clay bricks for dinner, because that is what they know and that is what is available, and they don't really have much of a choice when they are hungry. What I am trying to say is kids will mostly mirror their attitudes from their parents or how they've been raised. My nephew would never eat these healthy things but that is because he normally gets fast food and candy whenever he wants (unfortunately). But my niece who has a different parent loves fruits and veggies! It's definitely a lifestyle! ♥ I remember when my babysitter when I was growing up who was from Romania made us homemade vegetable soup nearly every day for lunch (cheap and healthy I suppose) and we really didn't think much of it, we ate it. We were happy. 🙂 Just don't pack kids an egg salad sandwich or something that smells awful, that is cafeteria taboo and will probably tossed super quick to avoid lunchroom embarassment! lol
Great video. A lot of people when trying to teach about healthier eating are snobs about it. This lady is kind and informative. Great ideas. Also, some people say kids won't eat these options. That's a lie. If you start your child from the get go on foods like these it won't be an issue. My daughter is the type is the who would rather have chickpeas than an Oreo cookies.
THIS IS AN AMAZING VIDEO
No offence but no kid would eat that – specially not a little one, I just have bread a butter for my lunch !
The 1st sandwich is too
Dry a lil mayo won't hurt. I'm sorry but come on!!!
I often go to school to take pictures during lunch time for the school yearbook. I hardly see any kids with vegetables in their lunch. I think that this is because parents know that if they pack things which the kids don't like to eat, it will end up in the garbage can uneaten. One of the parents told me that the only way she found out that her daughter was throwing away her sandwich every day was that another parent told her about it.

No kids is going to eat that. I would not eat that. Where is the seasoning. thaat is so bland I bet.
Wow… people's ignorance really don't surprise me but some of these comments are really uncalled for. Proper nutritional eating habits should begin at a very early stage of development. It has been said that a child's eating habits will determine the type of food choices he makes later on in life (food culture).
Even if you have to use incentives such as creative cutters to help stimulate/encourage a child to eat foods they usually not intrigue to eat… go right on, mom/dad can yum on the remains.
Excellent video!
Wow my kids would never eat that bland shit. Really? It might be healthy but what's the point of sending your kid to school with food they won't even touch? Also someone at Pottery Barn should be fired for not even knowing how to spell recipes at the end of this video. Seriously! You had one job….
Yum that looks good
its was maple syrup
He helped me improve my poor diet around and make the most phenomenal body transformation I could ever dream of… Simply by teaching me how to cook healthy and tasty meals in order to achieve my goals HEALTHYMEALSDIET.HOST56.COM
Yes. And that is a good idea. Kids like choices 🙂
Can you substitute honey for the maple syrup?
You must feel like a big girl showing how well ur potty trained by making light of Africans when I didn't mention Africa, and using profanity because that always shows your winning right !! . I'll say it again, she may make a good sandwich but wasting a half of it is very new to me. I understand people who cut of the crust or remove a layer of bread but what she does is irresponsible and I don't care how much lettuce is in the sandwich.
omg and what she can do for the kids? are u doing something? you think people care? well some people care the rest of the people don't fucking care seriously you have a problem with her or something? because i never eat everything in my plate so you wanna have the rest of my food that i don't eat for send it to africa? okay u are doing a lot commenting on peoples videos, do something and stop complain that's fucking ridiculous.
Have you seen the other videos she's made? She has a habit of wasting food because she thinks it's cute. It's unbelievable that with all the hungry kids in school here in America wasting food and broadcasting it on Youtube seems ok to her. The least she can say is "if you can afford it cut pretty shapes out of your food"
omg what a stupid comment … she probably eat before and was only a little bit..
I really don't get why you waste food like putting stupid stars in them.Your videos should be "if you don't care about cost here are some options".STOP WASTING FOOD! is disgusting.
no comment really…
